The holidays are about connection, kindness, and community — and in Chestermere, one special tradition brings all three together: the Kids’ Holiday Store, hosted by the Rocky View Chestermere Agricultural Society.
This unique community program allows children to shop independently for gifts for loved ones using donated items. With the help of volunteer “elves,” kids select, help wrap, and proudly present their chosen gifts — creating confidence, joy, and lasting holiday memories.
🌟 Why Your Donation Matters
Your donation helps provide:
Holiday dignity for families experiencing financial stress
Confidence-building moments for kids who get to shop on their own
Meaningful community support where neighbours help neighbours
Holiday inclusion, ensuring every child can participate in giving
Whether you donate a present or contribute financially, you’re helping build a stronger, more connected community.
🎁 What to Donate
We welcome:
New or gently loved gifts for children
Items suitable for parents/guardians (mugs, candles, books, tools, home items, self-care, etc.)
Games, puzzles, crafts
Gift bags, wrap, tags, tape
If you'd be proud to gift it, a child will be proud to choose it.
🤝 Benefits of Donating
Supporting the Kids’ Holiday Store gives YOU:
A direct impact on local families
A feel-good way to give back during the holidays
