Are you interested in learning how to be a beekeeper? For free?

The Rocky View Chestermere Agricultural Society is determining if there is enough interest to start a beginner beekeeping training course in 2020. It will entail 6 - 8 weekly sessions of in-class training during January and February and then hands-on in the field once the bees are awake and needing tending in our apiary. There is no cost for this program, however, we ask that you are able to commit to the whole season (February / March - September/ October) and help out when needed in the apiary. You will gain lots of hands-on experience to become a better beekeeper, and the time commitment is only a few hours per month.
