Chestermere Country Fair Red Ribbon (Bench) Competition - 2023 Sections and Classes are available online - and there are tons of BRAND NEW CLASSES!!!
 

What is a Bench Show? A bench show is a term used to describe a competition where you may enter your best baking sewing, handicrafts, cooking, artwork and photography (plus more) for the chance to win a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place ribbon and maybe even a trophy!

How To Enter The Red Ribbon Competition

  • Peruse the general rules, special rules, Sections and Classes listed on the following pages to decide which classes you would like to compete or just “show off" in. 
     

  • Use the entry form above.  Fill in the contact information and check off Family Aggregate if you want to compete for the Grand Aggregate. Next, fill out the classes you would like to enter. Names are necessary when more than one family member uses the form. School is used to determine the school with the most entries. Please include your phone and email for administration purposes only by the Country Fair Committee. 
     

  • Fill in an entry tag (available at the Chestermere Public Library or the Chestermere Recreation Centre) for each entry and attach to entry.
     

  • Bring your entry to the Curling Rink area between 11:00 am and 6:00 pm on Friday, September 6th, 2024

  • Youth classes only: Cash prizes and ribbons will be awarded to all 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place in Youth classes.

  • Classes 500 & 501: 1st Place donated by Marilyn King, in memory of Steve King

  • Classes 1010, 1011, 1055, 1061, 1069, 1078, 1090, 1104, 1120: 1st Place sponsored by the Sandbox Game Cafe & Lounge

  • Classes 1123 - 1126: Special prizes will be awarded, courtesy of Synergy. 

  • Classes 1051, 1052, 1057: 1st Place sponsored by Macaroni KID Chestermere.​
