We're excited to announce that Jennie Ogilvie - Alberta's Favorite Medium will be appearing during the Country Fair fall supper. Tickets are only $40.00 and include a buffet supper. The Chestermere Agricultural Society is now accepting vendors for the 2018 Spring Family Fun Fair (formerly Country Connections). The Spring Family Fun Fair features a Chestermere Agricultural Society Farmers' market that is an outdoor Alberta Approved Farmer's Market. As such, at least 80% of our vendor's products must be home made, home baked or home grown. We have very limited spots available for direct sellers. This event takes place at Camp Chestermere, 1041 E Lakeview Rd, on Saturday, May 26th, 9:00am - 4:00pm. The Chestermere Agricultural Society is pleased to bring this Alberta High School Rodeo Association (AHSRA) sanctioned event to the Calgary Stampede grounds in April. This will be an annual event so future AHSRA members may enjoy the exciting and world class venues the Calgary Stampede has to offer. With over 300 contestants expected to enter from across Alberta, this rodeo is set to be the largest contestant-based rodeo to ever come through Calgary! The Chestermere Agricultural Society is already projecting that horses will outnumber stalls in the North Agricultural Pavilion and that the Infield and upper lot camping will be at maximum capacity putting Calgary's finest rodeo facilities to the test. All this for three days of the toughest kids on the planet doing what they love on the doorstep of the world's most famous rodeo venue! Help raise funds to support the Chestermere Agricultural Society and STARS Air Ambulance while having a fun evening on Wednesday, September 6 from 6:30pm - 9:00pm at the Chestermere Rec Centre. Come by yourself or get a team of four together (local businesses are also welcome!) to make a pie for the LIVE Chestermere Country Fair pie auction held on September 9th during the Country Fair Fall Supper and Dance. The pastry and bowls are supplied, and and you will learn how to make the perfect crust, all you need to do is bring your favourite fresh or frozen pie filling (no milk, nuts or eggs) and a few kitchen tools. Part of the selling feature of your pie is your pie box. So bring your artistic side along with any stickers, markets, glitter, and other things you want to stick on to your pie box to make it stand out. To register for this fun event, please CLICK HERE. Calling all children 12 years old and under! Decorate your bike and enter it in the Chestermere Country Fair Bike Decorating Contest on September 9th, 2017! Please remember, safety first. You must be able to safely operate your bike, and wear a helmet. There are two age groups - Under 7 and 7 - 12 years.
